Bipartisanship in Nassau County? It might finally happen.

From the looks of it, Nassau County is about to see bipartisan reform. Newsday recently released a story about how the Republican legislators are confident they can work with Laura Curran. This will be the first time since 2000 that different parties control the executive seat and the legislator.

“I don’t see why not,” said Howard Kopel (R-Lawrence). “She’s a very nice person, a sincere person, I’ve always gotten along well with her and I think everyone does.” (Newsday)

It goes back to something I told friends and family all through the election. Anyone that knows Laura Curran and speaks with her for more than 5 minutes immediately realizes that she isn’t in it for herself, She is interested in all of us. Unlike many politicians, she is an honest genuine person. I personally look forward to seeing this great age of bipartisanship. I think with the parties willing to work together, we are about to say the changes that Nassau desperately needs.
